I’m Dr James Morgan, the owner of Custom Copywriting Ltd. I’m a freelance copywriter, PhD and author with extensive experience. I also hold an Advanced Certificate in Marketing Practice from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

My career began in 1999 at Wallace Barnaby, which was the Channel Islands’ largest through-the-line advertising agency at the time. I subsequently moved to London where I worked at Black Cat, the direct marketing arm of J. Walter Thompson in Knightsbridge (London).

Having freelanced for much of the past decade, I founded Custom Copywriting in 2011 to reflect the partnerships I’ve developed with freelance designers and media buyers. Together we can offer everything a integrated agency can – but at a fraction of the cost.

I’ve worked for large companies and SMEs across several sectors. I’ve written copy for Fidelity Investments, British Gas, NutmegMatch.com, Boots, Avis, LV=, Lloyds TSB, Marks & Spencer, T-Mobile, Stena Line and The Department of Health.
